The only reason that the NDP are viewed as not having a chance of forming a government is because they are ridiculed by everyone and have been since the beginning of time.

But this is done for a reason. The NDP are to far left.

The establishment only wants 2 choices.

Seriously though, the people want clear choices and strong governments. I'm under the impression Canadians don't want 14 parties in power, bickering and power sharing etc. We want strong governments with clear mandates, and we want them strong enough to pass legislation.

Another thing that always gets my hackles up are those people that keep harping for tax cuts. What the hell is that?

Well some of us are sick and tired of paying 55% or more of our earnings to taxes. We have no choices, and see little reason for getting out of bed anymore to go to work for the government.

I wanted to share with you the warm fuzzy feeling I get when you call me JJ. In order to do that I need a pet name for you, and Reverend Dear is it, until you stop calling me JJ.

Actually, if you look at the way the media behaved during the campaign, once it looked like the Conservatives were going to form a government based on the polls, the media became a lot more focused on Harper [the likely PM-in-waiting] and that was supplemented by the Liberals two-tier attack...but the X factor was definitely the media.

You said some other stuff I may address later but for now it looks like everyone else did a good job replying to it.

I will...when I go back to collect her again. Her hands were full of ink and she was looking sad when she she told me she had to work late. Her co-worker looked sad too. So her co-worker's husband and I finished our beer and left. Our wives will call when they need a ride home. Or not. I'll take a beer with me in any event.

Then you belong to the wrong party. I'm not always convinced that my voice makes a difference in policy, but I know damned well they heard me. If your voice isn't making a difference then you need to vocalize elsewhere.
