The more important story here is not about 'human rights' or even international law.

It's about the endless course of vengeance which will continue to bring about these stupid ****ing wars. If we were truly keen about creating a precedent of peace, then we would try and deal with this in a stoic and civilized manner instead of parading our victory like a mob of neanderthals that just finished clubbing another tribe.

(Reuters) - A statement purporting to come from a son of Osama bin Laden denounced the al Qaeda leader's killing as "criminal" and said his burial at sea had humiliated the family, an online monitoring service said.

I actually found joy in seeing his interview and reading this.

I was watching "Blue Planet" the other day and they were showing a whale carcass at the bottom of the ocean being fed upon by all sorts of bottom feeders. Then the narrator said...

"Nothing goes to waste on the bottom of the ocean"

...I thought of Osama and it made me smile.
