I mean it is really sad.

This man has to do relatively nothing except make a video, and the whole western world goes on high alert and increases spending on security issues.

It is such a insidious plot, by making the west bankrupt itself fighting these shadows whether they are real or not. If you think about it unemotionally and rationally, the west is playing into there hands.

that Jom.....is exactly what the west or the US is doing. and has been for some time. Let's say this is authentic news tid bit...... so it still has the same powerful impact that it intended before. Heck the mere name brings fear to many ........due to how the US media has played this out..and up. Remember OBL saying.....that his goal is to BANCRUPT AMERICA??......... and gradually he seems to be suceeding.......as the fools in the oval office are dancing to the OBL dance. OBL has outsmarted the bush cons every step of the way.......and have psyched them out even more. And yet so many don't see this dynamic. Mind you OBL serves bush's purposes too..........so in that sense they badly need each other for each of their own destructive ends./purposes.

what is really tragic........is that both men are killers.. only they do it under a different "umbrella"

If anyone saw that British documentary "The Power of Nightmares". It basically showed the need for enemies to serve the political agendas of many of the presidents. Its especially true for the Neocons but is not limited to them.

I think it generally serves the American Social Culture of always being in conflict and dispute. If we look through its history, America always had an enemy at one time or another. From the British, to the Native Americans, to themselves, to the Germans, to the Japanese, to the Koreans, to the Cubans, to the Vietnamese, to the Chinese, etc...., and now the Islamic Fundamentalists.

It suits their strong military complex to have an enemy. I mean a trillion dollar armed forces and security forces has to have something to do.

that was a very powerful docu. Notice the theme that runs through the US history?? It has a consistancy of one thing......VIOLENCE. & WAR. They can't seem to manage for too long without some conflict. If it gets too peaceful........they go ahead and start something. One could study the sociology/psychology of this mindset for some time and perhaps come up with some theories as to what really makes them "tick" AGGRESSION is admired. and encouraged. everything is a "fight" with them.

is it a society of thrill seekers??? They are not at peace with themselves, are they??

RE: So Where is Osama-as

It is true the whole US history has a history of violence, wars, conflicts and they are one country that is never at peace for very long.

The constant poverty for many too plays a part as well and the "we are better than everyone else" mentality driven into (aka brainwashed) into their heads from birth at every turn.

Sad. Very sad indeed.

a truism. And (IMHO) this is what creates a lot of the "communication" problems between americans and those outside of america ( no matter where) They come to believe what they are fed since childhood and one then cannot discuss anything on a logical basis .......as they immediately deny. They sensationalize everything to the point of nausea. (part of the brainwashing process too) They are happy to dictate to anyone as to how things should be according to the bible of US......but will not LISTEN to anyone or respect any other nation , its culture , its history or its people. Yet , america is a baby in terms of age and history. It has not gone through the wealth of experiences that Europe etc have . Yet it DEMANDS respect/admiration while giving none in return. SELFISH, self centred, egotistical.......and those are just a few of the adjectives that come to mind.

Fascinating.......and very sad. all that money, wealth ( disproportionately located) technology and yet the humans of the society as locked in a primal /warrior mindset of yesteryear. Trying to recreate the glory days of Rome by todays' standards.....and on a larger scale???

LOL, you guys are such a riot.

I'm struck by how much we think we know about each other and dumbfounded how little we know about each other.

This is not to cancel the portions of truth in your observations, but the culture of the country BELOW your border is helluva lot more multi-faceted and beyond the narrow definitions you all apply.

I understand that you also know this, the passion and quantity of your posts rarely speak to it. It's why when Uncle Percy visits your house he feels appalled.

Five miles from my house is a 54 year old guy who with his Quaker beliefs planning to protest this war and to help out the needy with the supplies his Christian group provides, is sitting in some stinkhouse in the Baghdad Sunni triangle kidnapped by the The Swords of the Righteous Brigade.

The Red Crescent ambulances have requested Red Cross assistance in NOT putting the Cross on its care packages because each Red Crescent ambulance is being hijacked for it.

So narrow is your view of America and even of the world that not one of you can conceptualize the entrancing aspect of the Trial of Saddam by defacto Kurdistan, as they sit and watch and hear on TV and Radio, glad that finally that man is compelled to listen to the victims.

And the beauty of this for the Kurds and the Shia is seeing this guy lose his cool, unable to bear story after story smiting his ears.

Do you not realize how closer we all are in culture and backround than we are with the Middle East ?

We only see our differences these 2 nations of Canada and US and the biggest similarities escape our ken.

It's a narrowness of vision.

Our lifestyles are so much more larger and SIMILAR than the luxury of our passionate political opinions.

And the insurgents group us all together and do not see the distinctions we see.

jimbo........please get OFF that frichen high horse of yours before you start to lack oxygen. speak for yourself about not seeing the similarities between the two countries.

anyhow......interesting timing to bring out some news tidbits about OBL being alive and still warring. would work for the bushmasters (as in snakes) well.....as they can continue to pitch their propaganda..

Bringing up the bushmaster in this case is imperative as he and OBL do the macabre wardance of death... just for different reasons.

( on second thought .......it could be a lack of oxygen that explains those riddles you present here .....

LOL !!

I'm laughing too much to find out where my battleship went.

The high horse is just going to have to wait until I dry off from salvage diving. I'll torture you with the thought that I don't like to be all wet when I mount that high horse again.

Thanks Ocean Breeze.
I can only wish that you will be hopefully compensated in some small way for bothering to read this cyber graffitti.

I'm shaking up another can of spray paint.
