Re is HS stopping a barrage of attacks in the U.S. ?
Elections were held, monitored by international observers as is always the case around the world and he won like or not.
I have heard all the conspiracy theories and have ignored none of them however none of them surrounding 9/11 are even remotely interesting.
Now if it gets you through the day to believe your sitting on a high horse looking down upon us and that we resemble Nazi Germany, then so be it. Too bad you live so close to us.[/quote]
Mr Think-Knot, [sorry, couln't resist]you just go ahead and ignore what you want to, but it won't lead us any closer to the world we want.
No attacks INSIDE america since 9-11 is remarkable. Not even any fertilizer bombs by its own citizens! That is something.
But you just ignore that bit about "there never was any"
{and if there was,it was just once].
Its not as if the barrage of attacks on America stopped after Homeland Security got involved, but thats what the propaganda would have us think. Its silly. Its pretty weak encouragement for the America public. Mild victory, but you sure pound your collective chest abou tit. Oops, I mean abou tit.
And I never felt like I was "looking down on[ Americans]" at all, more like looking up at a giant behemoth, and being afraid, very afraid.
Being very afraid is what got the public of Nazi Germany onside.
Being "very courageous but peacefull" instead of afraid is what got Ghandi independance from Britian. Robbie Robertson sings that "you don't stand a chance against our LOVE", and that makes sense to me.
EH?
Look at the outcomes , and you will see that love and non-violence will inch us towards the the kind of world I want, a world with love and peace and sustainable prosperity, not the kind that requires continuous growth like the current American model. What kind of world do YOU want? - dominated by american military, daily battles to the death, and 99% of the worlds wealth in your Elite's pockets?
I admit it is attractive to be on the side of the dominator, of the bully, of the global conquerer, but thats not a wonderful world anymore, we all lose, and you lose a little less than the others.
Can't we just be friends and get along instead? [and again, sorry about name calling back there, my friend]
American courage is being seen less and less. Bombing civilians from 10,000 feet up, remote controled spying, and absolutely FREAKING OUT at one day's carnage on 9-11 are surely signs that courage is lacking in America.
The despots and tirants all turn to dust eventually, the closest thing to permanence, to enduring empires, is when we hand the world to the next generation as good or better than when we got it.
You won't be able to show us how Bush is doing that. [ are you thinking of saying something about Clinton handing Bush the problems, so its the liberal's fault? Ha, I see them as being on the same side, so forget it!!].
