OTTAWA, March 21, 2018 (LifeSiteNews) – Canadian Government employees tasked with connecting citizens to government services can no longer refer to those citizens as “sir,” “madam,” or any other gender-specific term while doing so, according to a new report.

Service Canada’s front-line staff must “use gender-neutral language or gender-inclusive language” to avoid “portraying a perceived bias toward a particular sex or gender,” out of respect for the country’s “diverse” population. CBC News reports that its French-language arm Radio Canada has obtained documents detailing the new guidelines.

The forbidden terms include “mother,” “father,” “sir,” “madam,” “Mr.,” “Mrs.,” and “Miss.” Instead, workers are directed to call people “parents,” use their full names, and ask them how they wish to be addressed. They are further warned that an In-Person Quality Monitoring Program will watch them for compliance with the new rules.

The documents also reveal that “father” and “mother” have been removed from the Social Insurance Number application form.

There should be no reason to ban the use of these words at all.

Include the other new pronouns in with the ones that are already established/used and let them all live happily together in the dictionary free of discrimination. 8) :lol:

Yea if they fall out of use let them but outright saying that their use is no longer acceptable and that there will be a watch dog monitoring employees for compliance is kinda a bit over the top on this one.

From a biological and evolutionary perspective, there are only two genders in the mammalian world; male and female. The rest of it is nothing but a bunch of delusional idiots desperately seeking their individuality while demanding the rest of us play along with their game.

Where does the stupidity end? Sorry sport but "feelings" don't supersede biological and evolutionary reality.

Who says that's a reality? Sexist males? Both men and women have areas where they are superior to the other. Look at pain threshold. When men are sick or in pain they tend to act like little mommy's boys who can't do a thing for themselves.
Let's face it, if it was up to men today to carry and deliver the next generation, humanity would die out in no time.

And on an individual basis, everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses. Being physically stronger doesn't mean you're superior.
In the scientific community there were women who did brilliant work that are finally getting the recognition they deserve, even if it is posthumously. It shouldn't have taken that long though.

History is also full of female warriors and leaders/rulers.

Personally, I think the differing strengths and weaknesses between men and women tend to compliment each other.
