More chance to participate. You do know that since 1991 that most of the business investment has been by the west so the conditions you included is country of the West rather than it being Russians. The same system existed in Cuba before Fidel and in Venezuela before Hugo. You going to promote that was Russia at work also or that the West did do those same things and much worse but they have 'seen the light and the errors of their (business) ways and none of that existed in the Russian adventure. Almost forgot Iran before 1979. After 1979 they became friends with Russia and their country became more stable.
Don't mean to burst your bubble but the morality you probably have isn't part of who your old bosses are. When they promote that the Government is not to be harmed they are only talking about themselves when they are caught doing something most people would find to be more than a little offensive. Defending the country is down to defending 10 men in dark holes that would be killed if the public ever got hold of them and their crimes exposed.

Not at all. I LOVE corruption and crime. And so does everybody else. That's why all the plays, movies, and television shows are set in the evil, corrupt, crime-ridden cities, and not in nice, bucolic prairie towns where nobody locks their doors.

No, the morality I was taught came from a Stepfather who escaped the clutches of the Soviet Union. I remember getting mail from his parents that was censured by cutting out parts of the letters that came from Czechoslovakia. You remember Czechoslovakia don't you? That was the country that tried to become more independent in 68, until of course the soviet tanks rolled over her and massacred a pile of people.
People who complain about the West should have a chat with another friend of mine who came from East Germany after watching friends and family being gunned down while trying to escape into the west.
Of course this is all just propaganda, so why not move there. They don't invade their neighbors anymore. Oh wait, what did Putin say?

Perhaps you should see the pile of bodies thje West has created in the last 15 years, like the 500,000 children in Iraq between Gulf Slaughter I and Gulf Slaughter II. Russia is delivering it's 3rd convoy of (inspected) humanitarian aid to the Ukraine. The West's delivers might be higher tonnage but it is all war equipment. Try looking at the present rather than Russia before the fall. Sure it was bad, what do you expect in a war and the West simply outspent Russia in the cold war. Today Russia's military strength is in defense rather than aggression which is way different than the west who is totally aggressive to other nations as well as it's own citizens.
When the citizens vote to join another Nation it isn't an invasion, too bad you have to alter the facts to have your point be valid, all it shows is that lies are the 'facts' the West has. I don't have to respect that quality in my 'fellow citizens' or in the Government that is supposed to represent the people rather than the same corporations that were criminals in Russia. Harper's speech in Cancun where he said Canada would take direction only from International Corporation and the Gov would make sure all their recommendations were followed through to the letter. You can find the speech yourself but he should have been arrested on treason charges the moment he stepped onto Canadian soil again.
Canad likes to mouth off about how other Nations should act on a global stage while avoiding UN Human rights issues becaus ethat would involve how we still treat Native Indians. They should have about 10 cases going at the ICC and in a open society they would at least have that option.
Want to bet it will be Russia who brings issues to that court instead of the 'moral West'?
