no idea but I don't see why not

It's more of an indication of the organization's ineptitude of coach selection than anything else. Once you fire the first guy, you should have the right person to replace him. If the issue is crappy players, then why did you fire the first coach?

I'm quietly razzing those who wanted to fire Chamblin even though Riders never had a leadership problem or a cohesion problem. Injuries and bad luck is the problem.

I understand you were, but I have taken my thinking in a different direction. I think it was clear that Chamblin no longer had any control of the team. If the new coach also has the same issue, it is reasonable to assume the issues are actually with the personal on the team who may have gotten there via injury.

There is no such thing as good or bad luck. Luck is an illusion and is usually a reflection of effort. The more effort gets put in, the team seems to appear lucky.

even though all of the players are loved by the fans.that is the problem. Even though it would be very unpopular, they need to get rid of some of these players that have been around too long, and get some new blood. At the top of the list is #7. Practically no production this year. You can say that it isn't thrown to him often, well he often drops it. The next player would be Kevin. Glenn, though I don't know what you would get for an aging quarterback. Mind you the CFL is a league that the QB's have been dropping like flies. It pains me to watch the Riders to play like they did last Saturday.

It's my fault. All this happened after I became a cranked-up Riders fan.

And my Ravens are now 1-4.

I think I AM one of them ancient Indian curses.

Riders started off hot when they took advantage of an interception to score the first major of the game. Edmonton answered with a FG and the score was 7 to 3. Later a nice pass and run play to Ryan Smith resulted in a 65-yard TD romp - the convert was good and the Riders added 7 more points to the board.

Keith Price replaced Brett Smith as the Sask pivot and immediately threw a TD strike to Roosevelt in the end zone, convert good and Sask is up 21 - 3 midway through the 2nd.

The Eskimos battled back late in the 2nd to lead the Riders 27 to 21 heading into half-time.

The 3rd Q was a battle for field position with no points added by either team and we are off to the 4th.

Early in the 4th and the Esks are on the board again with TD and a 2-point convert. 35 - 21 Eskimos

7:34 in the 4th and Sask gets another 3 point FG but still trail the Esks by 11 points.

Bob Dyce made good use of his two young QBs. Smith was in for the first and third and Keith Price was in for the second and now the final quarter. Both of them show a lot of promise. The defense is young and has been quite sloppy at times missing key blocks and tackles letting the Esk's offense run roughshod over them - hence the score.

Riders on the move with just over 2:20 left in the game..............well they were until Rob was stripped of the ball in Eskimo territory...........there goes the ball game and the Rider's chance of a win.

35 - 24 final - Eskimos
