RE: Saddam's murder victi

I think a mistrial should be found for Saddam and he be awarded damages and lost wages. As to the question of who was better for Iraq and Iraqi's, well there isn't any doubt, the country presently enjoys neither democracy nor freedom and it's a near complete wreck replete with Yankee funded death squads,a perenial favorite of the empirialists.Who can honestly or sanely claim that the people have prospered?

Sure, and the Liberals are looking for a new leader....perfect match!

We don t need to look for a new leader in the same line of saddam hussein, we have stephan harper.

I have a mild but important disagreement with you comrade Aeon,
Saddam is a butt kicker Harper is a butt kisser. I'd rather have Saddam
as PM at least he'd fight for the country, Harper's just going to bend over and smile.

GEEZUS!

Come on Guys, so Saddam murdered 143 people instead of 148 in this one instance.

I read somewhere (god knows where now) that, including casualties in the wars he started, Saddanm was responsible for 136 deaths a DAY for the entirety of his 20-some odd year rule.

Bush has a ways to go, don't you think?

Actually shrub is responsible for a lot more deaths in Iraq than 148 or 143. He has a lot of innocent blood on his hands. He should be up on charges. He is more dangerous than Saddam ever was, simply because he thinks (thats scary) that he is doing it all legally. Will the yankees ever wake up??

Please excuse a minor intervention.

Granted, The Right Honourable Stephen Harper, P.C., M.P., the Member for Calgary Southwest and the Prime Minister of Canada, is not my leader of choice. However, he is better (as would most people be) than the now-deposed Saddam Hussein. Mr. Harper has made some decisions that I would question, but nothing that could even be categorized as having been in the same arena as Mr. Hussein.

When someone got power, that person is always the right. The ones who don't have power, they yell.

No nation is responsible for whatever the political leader or army leader does.

I agree with aeon.

However, this was all done under the watchful eye of the U.N of the U.S, under the Soviets and others. And they did nothing.

Others? You mean Canada as well right?
