That would make him an intentional plant to guide the people into supporting one side just because the spokesperson. (in that if there was no real public support he would be getting any air-time.

The only people who like Russell Brand are a few Lefty Luvvies at the BBC, The Graunaid, The New Statesman, Islington dinner parties and LibDem conferences. Most ordinary people, however, detest his Left Wing, anarchist politics; his disgusting behaviour in the Sachsgate scandal; and just being a complete and utter Left Wing prat. Many people on here will probably love him.

Yup, I'm sure that's why he's so popular over there. Over here, we generally like popular people and dislike unpopular ones. You Brittish people are funny that way.

Oh that's Russell Brand.

Yeah, he was the main actor in the remake of Arthur (Dudley Moore movie, originally). It didn't do so well at the box office. If Katy Perry dumping him like a hot potato was any indication, he doesn't do well with any boxes.;)

Six years ago, Russell Brand obscenely taunted Fawlty Towers star Andrew Sachs. Here, we reveal how he has finally written to 'make amends' - and Mrs Sachs' withering reply

"Cowardly Brand has insulted all over again"

The controversial comedian, together with Jonathan Ross, targeted Melody's actor husband Andrew (pictured together) - famous for playing Manuel in Fawlty Towers - with a stream of crude answerphone messages. The pair made the most degrading sexual insults about the Sachses' granddaughter, Georgina, with whom Brand (right) had had a relationship, and even cracked jokes about the young woman's menstrual cycle. These remarks aired on Brand's Radio 2 show, provoking 42,000 complaints and devastating the Sachs family.

The moment left-wing millionaire comic Russell Brand lost his temper after he was asked how much his London home is worth - during a Downing Street protest against the capital's housing crisis

The left-wing comedian, 39, joined hundreds of tenants from an east London estate who marched on Downing Street because they have been threatened with eviction. But Mr Brand, who is calling for an anti-capitalist revolution and claims 'profit is a filthy word' despite being worth £9million, called a journalist a 'snide' because he asked the value of his home. Channel Four reporter Paraic O'Brien asked whether he was part of London's housing problem with vast swathes of homes being bought up by the super rich. Brand said: 'It's rented. I'm not here to talk about my rent, mate'. Ending the uncomfortable interview Brand said 'Let's do one' and told the reporter: 'Snides like you undermine it. You're a snide.'

Response: Journalist Paraic O'Brien admitted he had some abusive tweets about his interview
