That is a big missed opportunity for the Cons. What the hell were they thinking when they decided that the one Conservative with the most voter appeal and a semblance of intelligence could not run for the party leadership? Oh, sorry I am forgetting - it's the Conservative Party.

She decided that when she agreed to become interim leader. All the parties do the same thing, the person who serves as interim leader generally is not allowed to run for the leadership.

She obviously didn't want to be leader, for whatever reason.

Just watching the evening news, I never had the impression that she was that effective as an opposition leader, but everyone else seems to think she was great, go figure.

Maybe the Lefties were saying she was good just so they could walk all over the opposition???
