I guess we know 99% for certain he's smoked crack a time or two, what we don't know is whether or not he's a "crack head"!

99%? He admitted it? Multiple sources have seen him do it on video. Where does the 1% doubt come from?

"Crackhead" isn't really a technical term, so arguing about that is a bit pointless. From the number of times he has made an *** of himself in public because of his drug and alcohol use, it does seem pretty clear that he has a substance abuse problem though.

I used to be of the mind that he should get help for his own sake, but after all the BS he put the city through in the last month or so, I just think he needs to go. He has long passed the point where he really deserves any sympathy.

I don't , you do . But than my friends didn't steal the Ford's power well still wanting him to play along. You reap what you sow .

This seems like you think that he did this to spite his political rivals, and you seem to be ok with that. That is a bit disturbing.

That post is so f**king stupid I don't even know how to begin responding to it...............but for starters I'll up the 1% to 5%, people brag, people lie................did anyone analyse a sample of what they thought he was smoking? Yes he has been acting like a goof, who hasn't in the course of a life time? There is a thousand reasons besides booze and dope for acting like a goof, one is worry, another is a mental problem. Anyway it's Xmas time, so I kind of lighten up a bit at denigrating people at this time of year. We've read about a lot of sh*t about Ford the past few months, is there not ONE good thing that could be mentioned?

P.S. I'm sorry I spoke a little more harshly than I should have for which I apologize. Have a Merry Xmas.

You think he would "brag" about smoking crack if he never actually did it? Something like that would seem to indicate a much larger problem than just a substance abuse issue.

If you really want to "lighten up" you probably shouldn't start your post with "That post is so f**king stupid I don't even know how to begin responding to it", especially when the topic is something that is so firmly established as fact.

If you can't accept that he has smoked crack at this point, you are simply refusing to accept reality.

If 3 reporters from two news outlets and the chief of police can all corroborate the same story from their first hand experience, and the guy himself also admits it, you just need to accept that this is what happened.

He certainly has done lots of stupid things that are not necessarily connected to his substance abuse problems, but he has also done numerous dumb things that have been confirmed to be caused by his substance use. If you have not seen this stuff then you have not followed this story in even the most cursory way, so why are you trying to act like an authority?

Sorry, but obviously things aren't so cut and dried as you would have everyone believe or he'd have been in court facing several charges long before now. Bragging is only one scenario.

That isn't true. Our legal system doesn't charge people for admitting to using drugs or drinking too much.

Face it, there is more than enough video evidence and incident reports of the guy's problems and he has admitted them himself. Despite all the evidence, if you can't even accept the guys own admissions, it just seems like you are way deep in denial.

There are legitimate debates about his conduct, but the incidents caused by his substance use are very cut and dry.

Let's just for the sake of argument say he's guilty of everything you have accused him of, he's still a man and it doesn't make him a pariah. If you haven't read post # 98 maybe you should.

"Drinking too much" isn't against the law, using prohibited drugs is, so for using crack cocaine, a charge is a distinct possibility especially when the cops are just chomping at the bit to see him go down.

Oh, come on, his use of crack and numerous public incidents involving alcohol are established facts. They are not accusations from me, but things that not only has he admitted to, but are supported by videos and official reports.

How you want to judge him based on these actions is a different issue, but denying stuff that is hitting you right in the face doesn't get us anywhere.

Rest assured that nobody is judging him just for having a substance abuse problem though.

So you've appointed yourself as cop, judge, jury and executioner!

Well, being drunk in public actually is against the law too. The fact remains, these are not the kind of things that our justice system can punish someone for after the fact, even if anyone actually wanted to.

There is no evidence that the cops have any reason to have it out for Ford. He has overseen huge pay increases for them. Ford is just paranoid and declares that anyone who is anything but fully supportive of him is out to get him.

So you've appointed yourself as cop, judge, jury and executioner!

How exactly would you think that?

Rob Ford; the gift that keeps on giving!

Here's the deal; he was voted into office by Greater Toronto Area residents and now they're whining because they got a "pig in the poke".

Or is it just a few whining because a majority of uninformed voters put a putz in office? Either way he was elected.

Use your brains the next time around and stop voting for circus clowns who put on a good show. Til then suck it up buttercups and stop the ineffectual carping.

He didn't get a majority. Also, I voted for Kodos, so you can't pin this one on me.

Are you listening to yourself? The guy admitted these things.

You're looking at one facet of the man, there's a hundred others.

Rob Ford is just another politician, they are mostly all tarred with same brush, get elected, stay elected, wallow in the trough and get that pension!

I'm looking at the issue that you commented on.

I have already commented on his many other facets as well. Nobody is judging him just for having a substance abuse problem.

If there is another particular facet of the guy that you are interested in, please do tell.

Rob Ford is just another politician, they are mostly all tarred with same brush, get elected, stay elected, wallow in the trough and get that pension!

You are continually showing that you have no clue about this situation.

Love him or hate him, nobody would say that Rob Ford is "just another politician". The people who do love him love him specifically because he doesn't act like any other politician.

Obviously a lot more understanding about it than you have.

Basically a pretty honest guy with concern for the under dog!

Lol, you kind of proved the first part wrong right there.

The guy lies constantly, in very obvious ways. He is constantly caught in lies and has to backtrack on those statements.

Case in point, lying about his drug use for months and then admitting it when evidence surfaced. Lying about a series of substance fueled escapades and then admitting it when evidence surfaced. Lying about Daniel Dale being on his property taking photos of his kids and then admitting he lied when challenged. Lying about his relationship to known criminals like Sandro Lisi. Hiring staff with his office budget to work for his football team and run his personal errands and then lying about it and trying to cover it up.

He constantly lies about his record, such as his repeated claim that he saved the city a billion dollars even though the facts say he has not done so. He claims he has never missed a day of council but he has in fact missed dozens. He repeatedly claims that he "was elected into office with the largest majority in Canadian history", when just two mayors ago, Mel Lastman was voted in with more than 100k more votes and nearly double his percentage of the vote.

He says he cares about disadvantaged people in the city, but constantly votes to slash services to them and increase fees for things that affect vulnerable people the most.

Are you getting paid to do this or do you really care about the Ford that much ?

Internet lawyer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He doesn't even understand simple concepts, like the difference between lying and not responding truthfully to stuff he considers no one else's business.

This is a discussion forum. You are supposed to discuss things here.
Yeah, discuss, not ram your half baked ideas down other people's throats?
