Take a stand… resign from the UN

They name certain days to celebrate their righteous existence,
To justify UN survival and arrogant persistence,
Mind numbing pompous platitudes to promote and pump up their weight,
Meaningless meandering debate of empty words to sedate.

Completely committed to their politically correct game,
And Annan oil-for-food scandal with Saddam brought no shame,
Wall to wall despots and dictators teaching peaceful existence,
Many want to be free of national debt and need your assistance,

And when they’re free of debt they can go out and borrow more,
Into a secret Swiss bank account just like they did before,
Until the next time when they want to be free of debt again,
Need money for meaningless elections and extend their reign.

They don’t want democracy in this world of the martyr,
They want to rule as in their Millennium Earth Charter,
And please send a much larger proportion of your GDP,
And armed peacekeepers so despots never have to leave.

Because the UN has the International Court at The Hague,
Appointed friends with no juries and they’re wishy washy vague,
With a special staff, selected according to their genders,
And their “victims” are given lots of UN public defenders.

And they have of course the ever-pliant socialist media,
Enough representatives to fill an encyclopedia,
Pumping out their propaganda every day from New York,
Socialist platitudes for every compliant dork.

if one was to take that idea seriously.........it might be better to provide an option........instead of just bashing the UN like a little kid. :roll:


You got a better idea than the UN.........let's hear it.

I have a better idea. First of all, we just put the corporations in charge. Democracy is a nice way to fool people, but let's cutr out the middle-man....it costs too much money in bribes...er...campaign donations.

Once the corporations are in charge we can enslave...I mean employ...people at affordable wages. We can also fire all those pesky scientists who are running around trying to save "the environment", whatever the hell that is. These egg-heads should be inventing new ways to make us richer, not worrying about stupid invisible things like air quality.

Sorry...I bought a lottery ticket and I'm just practicing in case I win. :wink:

The G8 meeting in Scotland

Did Paul Martin appoint Bob Geldof as Minister of Finance?
Or maybe to the Supreme Court or the Senate just by chance,
Did Sir Bob forbid Paul to attend the meeting of the G8?
Is this a bad dream; am I going mad; all this hype on Live 8?

Are our Liberal politicians attempting to be saints?
So high and mighty they’re completely indifferent to complaints,
The socialist Mother Teresas of the international set,
Do they want to pay off all of the Third World national debt?

Should poverty in Africa raise our taxes to the sky?
Because our first tax free day is sometime late in July,
And we’re already taxed beyond the point of no return,
And our politicians don’t show the least bit of concern.

When did poverty in Africa become a national concern?
UN influence, Socialist media or should we spurn?
Nothing in Africa will change and you can take my word on this,
Like most of the money sent there ends up in a bank that’s Swiss.

Has the voice of sanity abandoned Canada somehow?
Replaced by a socialist Live Aid-G8 sacred cow,
Their music or gestures will not influence Mr. Mugabe,
Or any other despots in and around Zimbabwe.

How long can we be weighed down by the white man’s burden and yoke?
And carry the subsequent taxes till we just about choke,
Led down some strange road by United Nations agenda?
Or the G8 or Live 8 or socialist propaganda.

And the world is doomed, they say, if we can’t find a solution,
For poverty, AIDS, hunger, climate change or execution,
The G8 in Scotland will solve the problems of the globe,
Without a devil’s advocate to think, to ask, or to probe.
