What's really scary is that Harper is like a Dubya with brains. Moreover, Harper wants to be accepted into the economic strata that Bush was born into, so he has to suck up more to the big boys.

I don't find it surprising and I doubt it's a coincidence. I mean if I'd been hired to design a campaign website for a party that attracted bigots, religious nuts, pro-gun, pro-war and "f*ck-you brother, I'm rich!"-types, I'd naturally see what kind of website the world's most successful "f*ck-you brother, I'm rich!" political party was doing and try to match it. But I don't think it's any more sinister than an application of the "Nothing succeeds like success" rule.

It's just further evidence of that butt-kissing. There was the letter apologizing for not going to Iraq and the presence of CPC members at the Republican National Convention and a dozen other things. This is typical Harper arrogance though...even as he is trying to distance himself from George Bush his party is cloning their website.

I will admit that using the same web page template means the conservatives and the republicans sleep together, only if you guys will admit that you're paranoid delusional, Paul Martin runs drugs into Canada from Venezuela and that Bill Clinton influenced our politics via Belinda. Good deal I think....
