''You're entitled to your opinion and I'm entitled to mine.''

As our beloved senator from Gopherland Al Franken said, ''you're entitled to your opinion but not to your own set of facts''.

Maher has gone on record and has been quoted here enough times that he is libertarian - that makes him conservative.

I don't care what Maher says about himself. I'm more of a libertarian than he is, and I don't recognize him as anything other than a mad dog of a leftist. Your cute aphorism doesn't change the fact that there is no room for libertarians on the left. The only libertarians in America are part of the conservative coalition.

In any event, what do you think of the ability of the American Anwar al Awlaki to reach other Americans like Nidal Malik Hasan, MD. to persuade him to commit acts of terror on American soil? Al Awlaki must be pretty persuasive huh?

Please please pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease don't ever say that again.

Conservatives like to believe they are libertarians but social conservatism is the underbelly for most of Hitler's propaganda. It couldn't be any farther from liberty.

So say you.

Mad Dog of the left, perfect description of Bill Maher, he certainly is not a libertarian. Thought I was a libertarian till proven by one person here that I was not.

HERE IS THE SPEECH:

"How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which
is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries, improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live.
A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement, the next of its dignity and sanctity. The
fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property, either as a child, a wife, or a concubine, must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men.
Individual Muslims may show splendid qualities, but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development
of those who follow it.
No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant
and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science, the science against which it had vainly struggled, the civilization of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilization of ancient Rome."
