The bill was specifically aimed at preventing persecution of individuals who out of conscience will not provide religiously oriented services to homosexuals.
There have been several cases of people who provide wedding and banquet services refusing to cater to homosexual 'marriages'. Some have ended up with fines of thousands of dollars.. some have been forced out of business rather than compromise their faith.
This law did not allow a restaurant from refusing to serve someone it deemed to be a homosexual.. it did protect them from celebrating something they deemed completely inconsistent, in fact an abomination, to their beliefs. This means the veto is an attack on Freedom of Religion.
The Governor totally capitulated to corporate intimidation. We all know how utterly amoral and gutless Corporate America (and Canada) are... pandering pathetically to any organized lobby without regard to the moral worth or consequences of its cause. These are the same corporate piggies who moved their plants to Free Trade Zones with enslaved inmates and left their own American employees jobless.
I hope the Georgia Legislature musters the votes and courage to stand up to this outrageous attack on liberty.

They supported busing providing they weren't bused to their lily (thanks) white liberal adjoining suburban schools. They wanted Black students bused to other sh*tty schools in other poor BOSTON neighborhoods.
They pretty much said to the poor white people of Boston...
Schools in minority neighborhoods in Boston are sh*tty, so we have to take your kids and bus them across town to these sh*tty schools and then we'll bus the black kids to sh*tty but not as sh*tty schools in your neighborhoods. We expect you all to behave and accept this BRILLIANT idea.
In the meantime... so our lily white liberal towns that abut the city of Boston don't have to accept any black children en masse or have to send our white children to sh*tty Boston schools we will create a COMPLETELY racist program called METCO. This will allow us do-goody nimby liberals to accept certain select black children, in other words... GREAT HS ATHLETES, into our schools and be able to control the numbers of blacks that will be sitting next to our kids.
So the poor Democrats in poor democrat neighborhoods were upset that they had to get their first to 12 graders up at 5:00AM to get their 6AM bus across town to their new even sh*ttier school! And the rich liberal lily white Democrats got to call them all racist because they now had METCO and finally some really great running backs for their HS Football Team!
