Twila, great whites come up into the Gulf of Saint Lawrence as well. I snorkel all the time in PEI at my families place in west PEI. Heres a photo of one they caught very close to where I swim, in 1983

And heres a picture of a Mako caught in a shark fishing tournament(BASTARDS!) in my home town. It wasn't a record, but very close.

Too awesome, a thing of beauty I think.

If I were a shark, I'd bite the cat and spit it out. Imagine what a hairball would be like for a big fish :S

I finally have a cat again!!! Life's getting better every minute  I found him in the street and brought him home. He is about two months old, black and furry and so cute and clever! He sleeps with me at night, chews my hair and pats my neck with his paw. I've called him Lel. Someday I'll post a picture of him, he's such a beauty ;-)
