One good thing about Trump's victory might be that it shakes the elite out of their lethargy.
Before the election, I remember thinking how if I could vote in the US election, I'd more probably vote for Hillary over Trump, but would probably cast a blank ballot over voting for Hilary. Sanders wasn't an attractive option either.
Had I been a US voter, I would have gladly cast a blank ballot even if it meant Trump winning over Hillary.
A point arrives when your political culture has dropped so low that sending a message becomes mote important than choosing the best of a bad bunch. Trump's victory has sent s clear message that both parties need to rethink their core beliefs about their purpose and service to humanity at the most basic level.
Globalisation is not the problem. Imagine if instead of war after war, the US had invested in universal compulsory education over the last decades.
Look at videos of Afghanistan and Iran in the 1970's. Had the US not engaged in proxy wars and olinstead just made friends with the USSR, the USSR would have collapsed sooner, the Taliban would not have arisen, and the Islamic revolution would not have occurred in Iran.
Same with Cuba. Trade with Cuba. Educate your kids and your workers.
