How does everyone feel about the current situation about how our Universities are currently funded? Should University be made more accesable so more people could attend? Are tuitions too high/not high enough?? Are graduates left with too many student loans??

Should University allow private company sponsorship for their building and programs?? If so, should private companies be able to open their own universities and get public dollars to help subsidize tuitions?? Should private companies sponsor complete programs such as MBA's in universities?

Education is (at least is supposed to be) a provincial matter. I suspect opinions are going to vary from province to province.

You're in BC, right?

Jay,

Your right that education is a provincial matter but I'm not looking to see who should fund.(federal/provincial) Just interested in general questions.

BTW, RB and I have something else in common!!

RE: Post-Seconday Educati

University should be subsidised by all levels of government. A student's first degree should be free. Subsequent degrees should be much less expensive. There should be more distance/learn at home courses available.

Private industry should not be allowed in universities because they end up having too much control over programs.
