I'm doing a poll to see if support for our political parties has changed. Please tell me which political party you support.

1. New Democratic Party of Canada

Beats waisting my time with the Liberal lies. Also Don't like the overly tree hugging Greens and the Conservatives have disappointed me by not focusing on democratic reform as of late. Oh and I don't live in Quebec so the bloq is kind of pointless for me.

Currently, I support the Liberal Party of Canada.

While I condemn their accountability issues, their policies more closely reflect those that I would prefer. Furthermore, they are the best-equipped alternative that I see to the Conservative Government of Canada, which even before the opening of the House of Commons, has profoundly disappointed me.

My second choice would be the New Democratic Party of Canada. While a majority of their social endeavours are entirely in line with my own opinions, their spending practices and understanding of the fiscal workings of Canada are suspect, in my opinion — I would not trust the NDP (of Canada, not provincially) to keep a budget out of the red.

Nationally I support the Conservatives, even given such disappointments such as the Emerson situation. That one stupid move has dominoed into a problem with accountablility and a conflict with the ethics commisioner....one hell of a dumb move.

Provincially I would vote for the Alberta Alliance...

I have always voted Liberal but am very happy to give Harper a proper and fair chance. It seems that we don't do that much anymore, just give someone a chance.

Federally I support the Tories, if only to change things up once in a while. I thought the Grits under Martin were stale and out of ideas, not to mention the dearth of good cabinet ministers. Provincially I vote for the dippers as I don't like Campbell and his crew. I mean the Gaul of Carole Taylor in buying $600 dollar shoes for budget day, honestly. I must say though Campbell has done a better job than I expected and has surprised me, however, it will not be enough to cahnge my vote in 2009 and I will stay true to the old Scottish proverb of "Never trust a Campbell!"

Funny, I have always said the same thing, and I have never known a Scot NOT to feel that way about the bloody Campbells. You have to wonder how anybody with the name Campbell manages to survive in Scotland.
