Poll; NDP would win again

A poll of Alberta voters reported at the end of last week indicated that if an election were held now, the New Democratic Party could win. But the story generated no headlines.

The results had the NDP still winning the election with 32 per cent of the vote, while Wildrose and PCs came second and third respectively with 22 and 21 per cent of the vote.”

Moreover, the results indicated Premier Rachel Notley’s NDP remains within striking distance of success in Calgary, where they were in a heat with the Progressive Conservatives according to this poll, and overwhelmingly dominate the field in the Capital Region, with close to 50 per cent support.

I can tell you first hand she is lucky to be above ground at this time. Billions in investment left the province along with 150,000 jobs since she took over. 75% of the population was against bill 6 but she rammed it through anyway (it was bill c-51 for Harper and look where he is now). Food banks are empty and have massive line-ups. $10.9 billion deficit this year (population 4 million compared to federal deficit $17 billion for a population of 36 million) and promises of $10 billion deficits until 2024.

The mood on the ground here is that Brian Jean is going to be premiere next. Hopefully before 2019. Maybe we will get lucky and one of the tens of thousands who have lost everything will assassinate her real soon.
