* Physics, Brain and* Free Will
======================
*
*The whole universe ( including human brain ) is acting out according to the laws of physics.
* Physics.
a)* according to Newton's / classical laws the universe is deterministic
* ** ( there is no room* for a free will)
b) according to quantum physics (The Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle / Law )
* the universe (quantum particles in universe) obey statistical laws
(there is possibility for a free will )

Brain.
brain works on foundation of dualism :
a) consciousness
b) unconsciousness
#
a)* consciousness* obeys* classical laws
b) unconsciousness obeys quantum laws

Obviously you have in your possession the complete book of the laws of physics well in advance of it's expected publication date.

If only Stephen Hawking could still think.

...and yet all the appropriate quantum wisdom is contained in the yin yang symbol
it was just published in a language that's difficult for the folks of today.
:)
Mediation and the practice of zen are a good way to investigate this...
( tho' one has to deal with the death of all religion if one goes there)

It's like when they say how dumb the ancient greeks were because they thought the universe was made of fire air earth and water...
Then you find out that's exactly what modern physicists say:
energy thought mass and vibration...all interchangeable

For those of you that don't believe in an afterlife, consider the quantum physics model that perhaps we exist in several places at once and at different times, too.

and going backwards and forwards

and every single electron in your body...
is sensitive regardless of time and place to all the other electrons everywhere always
same is true of photons as well..
(it's only your brain that sorts out most of the useful information and blocks it out.)

that's the famous double slit experiment

According to scientific research, Conscious Mind makes up less* than 10 percent
of* total brain function and more than* 90 percent belongs to Subconscious Mind .

Therefore talking about ''free will '' we need to think about two levels of deciding
a) free will on conscious level
b) free will on subconscious level
c) what is interaction between them

You have to also figure in the immune system which is a brain all of its own and works with the sub conscience. Most of that brain is in your gut.

Aspies are immune system brain people.

* Human brain works on two levels:
a) usually consciousness (logical) system* and
b)* rarely unconsciousness system which later changes as logical.
*
In his last autobiographic article, Einstein wrote:
” . . . the discovery is not the matter of logical thought,
even if the final product is connected with the logical form”

In the book ‘ The Holographic Universe’* Michael Talbot
on page 160 explained this situation in such way:
‘ Contrary to what everyone knows it is so, it may not be
the brain that produce consciousness, but rather consciousness
that creates the appearance of the brain ’
*
Evan Walker wrote:
“... indeed an understanding of psi phenomena and of
consciousness must provide the basis of an improved
understanding of quantum mechanics.”

It sounds as if the brain is a sort of antenna that picks up consciousness that already exists.

Yes some say we have been devolving for eons

The brains got much better reception back when they were building the pyramids

You also have to consider the subconscious has made most, if not all decisions, before they even reach the consciousness, and one also has a vastly complex receiver ( the gut) in the immune system brain, which actually does most of the thinking, and all of the feeling.

Part of my theory about the brain and its function is that both the conscious and unconscious mind interact during R.E.M. sleep where they try to sort things out.
