Damn!!:angry6:

I remember him from the movie "Joe", where he played a bigoted blue collar guy pissed at the hippies, et al. Winds up shooting his daughter. There I spoiled the movie for ya.:laughing7:

He was in something.......Raymond...Never watched it. Simple minded hollywood pap, but his acting in Taxi Driver was great. He was a talented man and most of the stuff he did was super. Played Joe McCarthy in one movie: forgot the name. Whatever.

I'm gonna miss seeing him in movies. Course there's always repeats.........:laughing7::laughing7:

Bye Pete:

So he played the grandpa in Everybody Loves Raymond?
I've never seen the other movies & shows of his. Only know Raymond. He's a fun grandpa.
I'm so sorry he passed.

A few years ago there was an action movie called, "Outland", starring Sean Connery and Peter Boyle. It was a rather simple spacer opera but probably Boyle's biggest part. He did a good job and I think his career went up after that movie. Peter Boyle has done some good work. He will be missed.

Sense of Timing

Boyle had a sense of comedy that surpassed other actors. He can also be remembered as the Monster in Young Frankenstein and as the AA sponsor of NYPD Blues Andy Sipowizc.

IMHO Boyles crowning achievement was his character on Everybody loves Raymond. He was an incredibly talented and funny actor whom I would have enjoyed seeing more work from.

He will be missed.
