This was in my opinion to deny her anything,i don't know if it made the news in english, but a few months ago,a dumb quebec school teacher, apparently changed the lyrics in one of Edith Piaf songs, just cause there was the word "god" in it.

Agreed. I dont care if she burned the school to the ground. She fulfilled the requirements to get the diploma and should get it. The school administration is the one looking like an idiot in this case. Some people are just way too sensitive. They're in for a real shock when they find out whats happening outside of their little bubble.

If she burned the school down, give her her diploma and then arrest her on the spot and charge her with Arson. Since it is not illegal to say h-ell, s-hit, f-uck or any other number of swear words (yet it is illegal for me to type them in plain text here), she committed no crime. They have no right to withhold.

But he's not withholding her diploma for that. I bet if she said sh** he would have done the same thing.
And swearing would still be just as stupid a reason.

Pretty much.

Thats right! It's a power thing. He approved her speech and she veered from it. He's full of himself.

I agree 100% LG. I'm on the student's side. He's just being a d***.

I've dealt with power hungry teachers and administrators. Mandatory meetings or else you child can't participate in a sport, etc. Then they hold you hostage for hours in an auditorium after work because they can.

Bumped into a few myself. We pulled our kids from quite a few classes because of idiots that prefer other things than teaching.

My son was playing sports and the parents HAD to attend a meeting after work or your kid couldn't play. When they finally started the meeting the Athletic Director says that he'll be able to get us all out in about 90 minutes. The whole auditorium groaned. That's just what everyone wants to do after working a full day, listen to coaches talk and listen to a motivational speaker.

And when they were younger they would bring home projects that there was NO WAY that kids their age could do it. We would have to do practically the whole thing.

It's all about control.
