I am glad he will not get medium security or other such privileges. I am still not convinced he was the one who murdered them. We jailed the wrong "murderer". He had raped over 40 women in Scarborough. He didn't kill anyone until he got with her. SHE is the one whose knee prints were on the back of one of the girls. i remember when they took her back to the scene to pick something up and she wore her little school girl kilt. My god she was asking questions and cavorting around. No she did it. She was smart enough to nab the deal and our brighter than light criminal system grabbed at it. :roll: His feet should never see the other side of the wall, he is a multi rapist, but I believe it was her that manipulated the kills.

I also think they covered it due to their stupidity in releasing her.

I liked that trial in the U.S. just now where the judge tacked on an extra 1000 years for good measure. But I do think a good lawyer should have been able to get that reduced to a couple of hundred!

This case is just another example of justice not done because of incompetence and a rush to judgement in order to appear as though they were "doing something". They need to slow down and do the right thing not just something to appease the public. I don't care whether he is a choirboy or a saint or the devil incarnate... he should suffer for what he "did" not for what he appeared to do.

You're right, BUT when I was a young guy growing up we were taught that if you were present when the crime was being perpetrated than you were just as guilty as the actual perpetrator. Not sure if that holds true today but possibly did at the time of Bernardo's and Homolka's trial.

I agree the whole case was a fubar. Yeah the tapes behind the medicine cabinet what a mess, they didn't search the house well enough OR they were under such pressure that it was just one mess up after another or a combo, who knows. She is one very slick piece of work.

I am beyond curious about her upbringing. I believe she is a true psychopath. And who would marry such a creature? Her lawyer's brother? For real? And three kids. It boggles the mind.

I remember the segment showing her back in the house. She chatted as though this little outing was awesome. She asked about getting her perfume and various other bizarre things. It was so long ago I only remember a tiny bit and the cold feeling it left.
