its not what you think. Just that we were engrained through christianity that it is evil.
But it is not, It respects life , animals and children.

Ive read the regular bible a few times ......I'll stay away from that side of the pond As for Rituals (mine not satanic) I find a great deal of power come to me after Ive had one. Just creating a circle gives me a rush that nothing else can.

Ive been exposed to it and your right. Its not what people expect and it has its points as everything else in the world. Its not my cuppa but I dont judge those who are into it either. My rede is Do No Harm and as long as I live my rede thats all I can do
from what i get its has a lot to do with respect

Slay used to tell me that if I substute any one of my Gods for the word Satan Id be signing up.

the word satan in its original jewish term means the accuser.
Whats wrong with that
I think not clear but Lucifer was a god of communication which culture I don't know.
the catholic religion or christianity really pushed this evil thing. To there benefit.
the jewish beliefe say that there 's bad angels like theres good demons.
The word evil means something displeasing in jewish culture.
thats why just reading that bible makes me question what i was forced to believe.
and in satanism you are your own god.
It's not that I'm converted but it was a good read that made me think
it also advocated to question everything, not to take in things at face values.Even authority.
to me it help me to open my eyes a little more.
but like I said elsewhere I'm not one for rituals.

Anything that makes the use of curses okay is shady in my book, and I wont even consider it. I do not "curse" people, no matter what they've done to me. I'm free to hate them as I please as long as I don't hurt them. There's good and bad in every religion, it all depends on your perspective on the issue. I personally feel attracted to Wicca at the moment, but that may change as I grow older, as my needs begin to differ.

One of the problems with Satanism is it's negative connotations in western society. Just like the swastika, an ancient symbol, and the Confederate flag, the American Civil War was not all about slavery, it has a negative cultural impact. It's never a good idea to openly flaunt custom. Satan as evil personified is a christian invention. Without christianity were would Satanist get there inspiration? I myself do not lump Satanism in with paganism or even neo-paganism and such spiritual paths. Satanism is anti-christian. The total rejection of a higher power to which we must submit. Without christianity Satanism would be atheism. Paganism does not require christianity to be, prosper, or survive.

This is IMO against even paganism. Satanism is atheism only with ritual and faith. I believe there is a god(dess). What form that diety may take is to me unknown but I strive to know the mind/will of that diety.
