A Mississauga teen was in critical condition Tuesday morning after allegedly being attacked by her own father.
On Monday, Peel Regional Police police received a call from a man who said he'd just killed his daughter.
When paramedics arrived the 16-year-old girl had no vital signs. She was rushed to the Hospital for the Sick Children where she remains in critical condition.
Friends of the girl told CBC News that she had been arguing with her father because he allegedly wanted her to wear a traditional hijab.
"She kinda wanted to go a different way from the way her family wanted her to go," said one friend.
They also said that she wanted to run away.

On the family's quiet street, neighbours were dismayed, calling the events "a tragedy." One neighbour said she was "praying for the family."
The girl's 57-year-old father will appear in Brampton court on Tuesday to face charges.
