Jeeez. There are 3 types of orcinus: residents, transients, and offshore.
Residents hunt local fish, squid, etc..
Transients eat marine mammals.
Offshore orca probably eat anything they figure makes good eating.

And they aren't really whales. They are dolphin relatives.

Actually the minke whale is a whale, a sub-species of the baleen whale, is a member of the rorquals family which includes the humpback abd the blue whale.

One of the coolest things I saw with Orcas was a vid of one attacking a great white shark off the California coast. It wasn't much of a fight with our fellow mammal making a very quick meal of one of nature's most terrifying predators in short order. It kinda settled the old debate I had heard before as well as who would win between the two.
