The faithful seem to be less open-minded than the realists, IMO. Realists often change their minds when faced with evidence that contradicts what they previously thought or when someone points out that there is no evidence supporting their views. The superstitious are hell-bent (lol) on sticking to their guns no matter how much evidence is stacked against them or that people point out there is no evidence supporting their views. It's as simple as that.

Why did Zeus die as a god and become a myth? It was because realists pointed out that it wasn't some cantankerous entity that made weather. Now that is what I would call being open-minded. Those realists went against popular thought and dogma.
You can bet there was a batch of Greeks that got all pissy when someone said what actually DOES cause weather. I wouldn't exactly call that being open-minded.

So, the irrational will never respond to blatant logic such as that portrayed in the vid.
