Just an FYI, when my sons took courses at Enaahtig learning centre (An Anish learning and healing centre in Victoria Harbour Ont), I made sure they were exempt from the course portion on "Living in a colonial state". The course outline was racist, divisive and quite frankly, one of the biggest problems with healthy integration into modern society, as far as i was concerned.
A friend was enrolled in FNUC and did a paper on Diabetes. She was given a 70 aka a mercy pass because she refused to make a claim that f-ckin' white gave FNs diabetes.

Needless to say she enrolled at UofR at end of semester and never looked back.

Surely he's at least vaguely aware that most of the Irish came to North America fleeing an unparalleled genocide, suffered vicious discrimination for their origins and faith, and to this very day, remain tragically Irish?
Aware or not, he simply lacks the objectivity and critical thought needed to understand what said. BTW, you must be a faux FN if you don't support this program 100%.

It's simply racist to ignore the historical and current plight of the Irish. Mandatory sensitivity training for all!

Let's here it for us Irish! Thanks for the nod, Tec........we're still hoping to get that land in Kilkarney back from the British. :p:lol:

Just call me Chief Ward Churchill, CCP (Certified Cherokee Princess), then.

Clearly this is substantial.

If you can't accept that then you are grossly ignorant.
Of course, I don't have or want any say in what Canada or its constituent subdivisions does, floss, but hereabouts I teach the young'uns what it means to be Shawnee, and I don't need a bureaucrat's alleged help. The track record of bureaucratic help for Induns being so stellar.

We have Enaahtig here to help educate young FN, and guide adults back to the path. Great organization, a little to much new age hippie influence at times, but for the most part, well worth the investment the Conservative govt pumped into it.

Of course not. It comes with a beaded headband like all real Induns wear.

Poor confused brethren. Don't they know how culturally inappropriate that it?
Shame on them, mocking the indingenous Prairieans for their tragic fashion disability!

In these parts it's just cross dressers. Natives that dress up like cowboys.
They musta watched the movies, too.

It's ironic that much, possibly most, of what we know about our own people (especially the Eastern tribes) comes from (mostly white) archaeologists and anthropologists.

Nah, just really freakin' good ranchers and horsemen.
That's a stereotype. But since it's a positive stereotype, we're OK with it.
