Lol, did I say that?

No. The fact is that every government does a lot of things that some people don't like and can be picked apart. This list could by 100 points long if they wanted it to be.

If I show you a list of 25 problems with Stephen Harper, will you automatically never vote for him again?

Why Not Harper?

Automatically not vote for him again? I don't remember proposing such a thing. You said the Wynne government is still the best choice, I presented the facts regarding this government. You can choose to disregard those facts, I don't.

When Brian Mulroney introduced the GST, I voted Liberal, not Reform.

I never vote blindly. And my vote is not party specific.

Most of those are opinions from what I can see. Some of them are just heresay. For example Harper has not done anything to dismantle universal health care. And you can't say he hasn't been able to since he has only had a minority as he has had a majority for the last 3 years.

Now I won't tell you that the Harper government hasn't done stuff that they shouldn't have or that I support. But nothing enough to make me want to throw the country away and put Justine in charge.

nothing to get your shorts in a twist about .

I liked what gerryh said is all and consider the man a thinking person.
it's not a matter of who's right or wrong or fighting or anything of the sort.

I got something from what the man said is all, and enjoyed his view.
so shoot me.

You'll get used to BR.

He is complicit with the booming economy and balanced budget under Harris.
You mean the picture created by downloading debt onto municipalities? The sell-off of 407? The sell-out of Ontario Hydro and paving the way for competition from Green energy? The booming economy didn't last very long when they started getting de-regulated Hydro bills, did it....

Of course, when you're thinking "economy" in terms of bankers and investors, they walked off with a bundle.

That is exactly how I feel about the liberals in the Ontario election.

I had more in my pocket and more Ontarians were working and we balanced the budget; let's do it again with Hudak.

The balanced budgets had some significant caveats. Selling a highway to balance the budget was an incredibly stupid move.

Downloading costs to municipalities may have looked good on the provincial books, but it forced massive tax increases at the municipal level and budget struggles that are still present today.

Taking the debt from Ontario Hydro off the books, assigning it to separate company and then tacking it onto our hydro bills again looked good on the provincial balance sheet, but has been a huge burden for all of us ever since.

Remember that this is all in a time of incredible economic prosperity. We shouldn't need to mortgage the future like this in times of prosperity. We should have been able to build the subway on Eglinton instead of filling it back in.

I'd take issuing a billion dollars in bonds before I sell off a freaking highway any day.

The download started at the Federal Level when the Libs cut the transfer payments to all Provinces.

The sell-off of 407?
This was pretty stupid.

The booming economy took a nose dive after 911 and it was global.

Of course, when you're thinking "economy" in terms of bankers and investors, they walked off with a bundle.

They certainly did.

Poll numbers unrelated to platform positions often don't mean very much.
Interesting though the Liberals went up they are in a minority and if they in
fact go up a couple more points they could form a majority depending on
where there vote is.
Tories going up if they are the official opposition and looking to form government
they should have gone up even more than the Liberals.
As for the NDP at this point its not that big a deal until at least two weeks into the
campaign, if in three weeks they're falling they are in big trouble From what I have
seen the NDP has a well informed leader but she lacks the leadership hoot spa
required for the key role.
Early indications are many in Ontario are not that upset with the present government.
If that were the case the poll numbers would show a ground swell for an opposition
and that so far has not happened At the three week mark or a major mistake we
should see a real trend until then with these numbers its anybodies ball game
