No one is buying the cars but it feels good that at least there is power stations, for them. In case someone wanted to buy one.

Give it a other 20 year.

Can you tell me how, with Ontario's deficit, they can afford to build these stations?
We're speaking of a province that preaches energy conservation then upped the rates because we saved too well and charged delivery where no delivery has been made. It shouldn't be too hard to figure out: Lie, cheat, steal and blame it on somebody else

Just finished doing my taxes.

Getting money back and we are moving on to renewables.

Sweet!

That's the way taxes are designed. You get some of YOUR money back and you feel all nice and sweet inside. Of course the smart ones of us who know we are getting refunds got our money back in March (why let the government keep our money any longer than needed?).

If you want to really compare, take a look at the line under taxes owed or whatever it is called. That is how much you are actually paying (that + cpp + ei).

So you are using your tax refund to buy yourself an electric car?

Yup, I have always wondered how people could get so excited about having paid too much to the government.

A chicken in every pot, a gun to every head;
Things just got a whole lot brighter in Canada for the dismal electric-car business. Word has leaked that the country's largest province is preparing to help buy a plug-in vehicle or hybrid for millions of families across the province -- or will at least force those families to buy one. The details of how Ontarians are getting all those green vehicles weren't clear in the confidential draft version of the Wynne Liberals' "Climate Change Action Plan" leaked to The Globe and Mail on Wednesday. But the goals are crystal clear: A promise to get 1.7 million low-emission cars on the roads in the next eight years, and pull seven million gas-powered cars off in the next 14.

That's in addition to making sure 80 per cent of us ride transit or walk or bike to work, and ensuring the majority of the buildings in the province are "emissions-free" by 2050. And to engineer this great, gleaming, green society, the Liberals will create a brand new monopolistic government behemoth, a "new ultra-low-carbon utility" that will have a sweeping mandate to micro-engineer how you get to work, how you heat your home, and how the economy is powered.
Or, there are always elections.

Maybe it's time for liberals to go for 12-16 years

As long as conservatives dont attack Labour laws, I dont see why they can't get in a nice long comfy term. But like Harper, they need to choose, and be clear on their battles. And not pick the wrong ones like Hudat

That guy writes the book on what not to do in politics ;)

You know, it's not too hard to visualize fossil fuel burners becoming the modern day version of the cigarette smoker, fiercely clutching their right to continue with an outdated status quo in the face of continually growing resistance to their actions.

It's not too hard to see Princess Pinwheel's focus on agenda outlawing used car sales just to provide customers for her market. She's done everything else sneaky and underhanded....

Meanwhile, all electric cars do is trade one problem for another.

Not for a crusader like Floss who don't really care about achieving success in the cause.
Who Only seek the glory of their personal worth in this environmental fight.

Flossy wouldn't care if it did anything. If his Liberal heros spouts that they are going to change the sky colour to green, he would be going on about how great it is to have green sky.

He has made this about his personal legacy.
It's called crusaderism. It's for his personal satisfaction. Not about the cause.
