Yep. I considered on it and did my own research, and determined that pipelines are the hands-down best way to move oil and many other products (water springs to mind).
Probably, but I also believe in the rights of owners.
Somewhat. Every economic decision has costs and tradeoffs. I guess it woulda been cheaper to leave the lead in gas and allow unrestricted smokestack emissions and dumping in rivers, lakes, and the ocean. And set the minimum wage at a buck-nothing. A day.
Determinative of what?
Russia, which accounts for around 40 per cent of the European Union’s natural gas supplies reduced gas exports to the EU by 25 per cent in recent months

Russian President Vladimir Putin’s Cold War-style gambit to punish Kyiv for establishing a western-oriented, democratic state in the former Soviet republic has been aided and abetted by European countries that have allowed themselves to become addicted to Russian gas. Canada’s ability to push back against Russia through economic sanctions is limited, but our abundant energy reserves could one day allow us to provide for the energy needs of our allies and cut Moscow off from a crucial source of funding for its war machine — if there was the political will to do so.
Although the Liberals cannot shoulder all the blame for this, there is no question that their public disdain for fossil fuels has hindered the development of energy infrastructure and driven away investment.
Not only would having LNG export facilities have
potentially added billions to our GDP and created tens of thousands of jobs, it would have allowed us to sell gas to our European allies, thus lessening their reliance on unsavoury regimes, or given us the ability to increase shipments to Asia, so more American supplies could be diverted to Europe.
Nothing our current government does will allow Canada to provide for the energy needs of its allies during this crisis. But steps can and should be taken to ensure this country can use its abundant resources, not only for economic benefits, but to do good in the world and provide a counterbalance to countries like Russia that use their energy supplies to further militaristic goals.
