We got a bit of a Prairie blow going on. Started yesterday about noon & is still going on. Rain, then mixed, then wind on top of that with more snow. Still going on.

Bare shelves in the stores here in the Okanagan, dairy, produce, and meat are past tense, holes showing up in non-perishable supplies now too. Just about everything in our stores comes up from the coast, and there are no serviceable routes left in Canada. Best hope is the #3 from the south Okanagan through to Hope but that still needs slides to be cleared before they can assess the roads. Fraser Canyon (#1) and the Coquihalla (#5) have sustained catastrophic damage and will be quite some time. The Trans Mountain pipeline that carries gasoline (among other things) from Alberta has been shut down as a precaution as it passes through some of the areas currently stressed.

Hwy 3 shouldn’t take to long to open , 1 and 5 look longer . It took my wife three stores to find mustard yesterday .
