zoofer has touched on an important issue when looking at any war involving Muslim zealots. They don't care about hiding behind civilians and/or using civilian locations as operating sites. As a result, civilian body counts rise. I'm always dubious about claims of innocent civilians being murdered by any Army, whether it be Israel, the U.S., or even Canada. The sad fact remains that Muslim extremists care nothing for civilians, they're blinded by zeal and don't care how many of their following countrymen die in wars they perpetuate. I.e. blowing up a VBIED in Kabul to kill 1 coalition soldier, yet in turn killing 20 or 30 Afghan civilians as well.

This kid is probably like any kid. Not a zealot, not a fanatic. He just loves his mom.

If his mom dies the anger might not and when he grows up if there is no justice or closure for his loss, he might resort to some kind of revenge. When that happens we won’t understand it, or know ‘why’. We will just brand him like many others “a terrorist”, and condemn their lives with many others in a form of collective punishment.

What you hear is most likely the propaganda of one side. This picture is probably more the actual reality of what happens. A boy and his mom being bombed in their van in Tyre, Lebanon.

You actually believe in your mind that those who don't want more terrorists created by the neocon kill-to-create-more-terrorists program are siding with the terrorists? 100,000 hezbollah supporters gathering in Iraq is a good thing? Give the logic-lid a shake my friend.

There's no disputing that you're right. Lots of people in Lebanon and the Arab world, and the Muslim world will be inspired to rise up in response to the war. But they seem to rise up anyway. It's a damned if you do, damned if you don't scenario. Israel left Lebanon and Hizbollah grew exponentially, in numbers as well as arms and influence. All this in a time of relative peace. So what is Israel to do? If you fight to defend yourself, they multiply. If you back off in an attempt to live and let live, they multiply. The vitiolic hatred of Israel doesn't go away when Israel backs off.
