More Rich White Anguish In Deluged New Orleans.

CNN reported the plight of a group of tourists in an unnamed New Orleans’ hotel, who, desperate to exit the city, waited all night for a tour bus they had hired to fetch them for $25,000.

In the morning, after the bus had failed to arrive during the night, they learned that FEMA had commandeered their vehicle.

The visitor finally made his escape, to tell his woe on television, thanks to a “Good Samaritan” — a rather scruffy-looking black man.

(No cartage fee was mentioned, but I hope it was at least four figures.)

Peapod, when did I ever say the boy should be shot??? I NEVER DID! Don't start a puttin words in my mouth.

If you seach back in my posts you will see that the individuals who were firing at the military helcopters and disrupted the evacuation, they are the ones who should be shot on site!

It's probably from a site you'd Harrumph at, but I wouldn't mind the hardcore troublemakers there deal with the Guard in this manner.

EXCELLENT interview !! Bravo to Ray. Saw him briefly on the telee and he was good there too. No time to mince words or pretend a vaneer of diplomacy when "all hell is breaking loose"....

He calls it as it is...... and maybe more people will start to do that too now. Might energize the "silent" population as well. One can hope.

One should hope. Somebody should be looking at the refugees too. The ones in the worst shape are the ones who don't vote. A young Ralph Nader or sane Jesse Jackson could make some serious inroads right now. Hell, Pat Buchanan should be out there banging a gong too.

This shit got this serious because Bush was playing politics, anybody who mutters the words non-partisan at this point isn't really in the game.

Officials, who wish to remain anonymous, also said there are contingency plans to drop a number of CO2 bombs, unload oil tankers and dump toxic waste in the ocean to strike the heart of the atmospheric terrorist's breeding grounds should Cuba's removal from the planet not be enough to dissuade further attacks. Training excercises for just this eventuality have been intermittently going on for years and the government is "absolutely delighted" that all the training may finally come to fruition.

When asked about these developments, Mrs Nature replied with a clap of thunder that seemed hauntingly like laughter.

Yup. These "gang members" that are causing havoc (firing at rescue helicopters, setting fires, robbing people at gun point ...), these are the ones that we should apply swift justice to. Let us hope the auhorities in New Orleans will maintain Martial Law which will help them deal with those individuals so all those requiring help (i.e women and children) can be safely evacuated.

Well, if the authorities observe a group of individuals firing at rescue helicopters or commandeering a vehicle at gunpoint, those are the ones who deserve martial law at it's fullest. Those not commiting armed acts of aggression will not be targetted by the authorities.

On the contrary, anyone not carrying a gun in New Orleans right now is fair game for the looters and rapists. National Guard troops were in the football stadium and rapes and murders occured there.

The Bush administration caused this chaos to a large extent, and I suspect that we'll hear many stories of the authorities making "mistakes" that get innocent people killed in the coming weeks. Interviews with the refugees are already sounding like an indicment of the Bush regime, the National Guard, and state and local authorities. If stories about the National Guard accidentally shooting the wrong person start coming out, there will be even more hell to pay.
