it's beaver fever isn't it? or rather, what causes beaver fever if there's too much of it?

Yah, it's the protozoan that causes diarrhea and other rhea's, extreme gas, foul smelling gas(or perhaps more foul ;) ) and a host of other symptoms.

It affects more than just humans, also cats, dogs, cows and sheep.

Unfortunately, because it is Eukaryotic like us, the drugs also have crappy side effects.

38 lbs in 4 months is a huge amount of weight to lose Sal. That's a big shock to the system. You can't lose it a whole lot faster than that short of having it sucked out. The lapband system, I have friends who've gone on it, and docs say to expect about 50 lbs a YEAR Sal... a year. She's lost almost that much in four months... she's way ahead of the game.
Honest karrie, she isn't. She was way over 300 lbs when she started this. 6 weeks on a liquid diet should have cleansed her system. And when someone is that over weight most of that first weight loss is water only, not fat.
And I under estimated the time which is more like 5 months. With a lap band that is ridiculous. She is not eating the way they recommend and has stopped losing weight. It is a head problem and she needs help desperately. One to two pounds a week is a healthy weight loss if you are doing it via diet and excerse... she should at least be losing that. She isn't.

Has anyone watched the CNN documentary, "America's killer diet". Some people blame the obesity problems on the agriculture bills in the Untied States. I'm not sure how much truth their is in it but it is interesting.
I saw some interesting stuff on it too. Apparently the States would not have the required fruit and vegetables available for their population if they all followed their Food Guide. Now that is sad. Corn growing takes precedence and is subsidized while fruit and veggies are not.

Killer diet... Is that the one where their in Chicago and there are NO grocery stores in the city limits due to some kind of law and so most inhabitants with no transportation don't actually get fresh fruits and vegetables? I was amazed. It was so strange to hear such a thing
