So what's behind the change?

"In the upper-class suburbs of Denver that used to be so solidly Republican, a lot of aspects of the Bush administration have not played well there," Loevy said. "His war policies, his policies on abortion, gay marriage ... simply have not played well with the old Republican Party out there in the Rocky Mountain west. So it's in the upscale suburbs that we see the strongest shift to the Democrats."
I'm glad to see Americans are disgruntled with Bush's attack on abortion and gay marriage, let alone his warmongering. Hopefully they find room for him in San Quentin some day. A good place to write his memoirs.

I'd like to share your optimism regarding the possibility that George Bush might find himself behind bars......

But it's never happened before.

Americans have no appetite for holding their government responsible. I suppose the thinking is that if you entertain the idea that your president has lied to you and misled you into a mess....if you then attempt to hold him accountable for that behavior it's a reflection on the people who voted him the authority to do what he did.....

And no American would ever entertain the idea that they're capable of making a mistake....

Not really. But, yes, Bush under a Nuremburg Tribunal is most apropos.

America could not survive the exposure of impeachment of its elite, the shock of truth would destroy the nation therefore they are condemned to further crimes with each succeeding administration. Beside honesty and credibility just aren;t done these days it's such an old fashioned idea and very inefficiet and not at all cost effective.

I didn't mean to turn this into another Bush Bash. Moreso to point to Obama's enhanced opportunity vs McCain as a result of the American people not in the mood to revisit Bush policies. McCain has an uphill battle with this, no matter what his positions are. If he gets elected it will be Houdini-like.

There's a long road ahead, but electing the first black President appears to be more than just a possibility. It could well be a probability.

It is looking very hopeful, but I will believe it when I see it. He and his family seem like fine people, I just hope the american people have enough class now to embrace him, and
appreciate him, and help him.
