That's a big problem. I might not favour lowering the burden of proof and rape-shield laws, but I do support certain reforms none-the-less.
Firstly, allow an inquisitorial hearing in cases that involve sexual coercion of any kind.
secondly, while maintaining the standard of guilt beyond reasonable doubt, expand the number of criminal offences so as to not require the complainant to prove something as difficult to prove as sexual assault.
As for accusing a person outside of proper legal channels though, then a person has to accept the risk of facing a defamation suit.
I'm not even sure that Angstrom is defending rape. I think he's just not thinking before he types. I'd be surprised if anyone on here was actually defending rape. But hey, accusing someone of being a rape apologist is an easy way to shut a conversation down.
Where did I accuse someone of being a rape apologist? A quote or post number will do nicely.
