A news site that monitors activity in North Korea reports citizens of that country have been shipped to labour camps if they didn't shed genuine tears after the recent death of dictator Kim Jong-Il.
In a nation where Kleenex may be too expensive for the masses, North Koreans are reportedly being sent to labour camps for failing to cry during the official mourning period for Kim Jong-Il.
The North Korean government appears to have completed "criticism sessions" which allow neighbours and co-workers to identify people who didn't cry, or at least didn't appear genuine in shedding tears.
The minimum sentence for failing to mourn according to the script is six months in a labour camp. Given that life in North Korean society isn't much fun, it's a good bet that the country's labour camps are a nasty bit of work.
The same source told a reporter that people accused of circulating rumours criticizing the leaders – the late Jong-Il and his son and heir Kim Jong Eun – are being sent to re-education camps or are sent packing to remote parts of the countryside along with their whole family.

Maybe some whiners should be sent here so that they can appreciate what we have here. Canada is far from perfect but a lot better than many other countries.
