Except for visiting schools and community centers, donating millions, starting foundations, and in the case of the Baltimore Ravens, rebuilding a school and showing up, every day, to mentor and encourage the kids to achieve, on the field and in the classroom.
Decades, but apparently Cap and others have never heard of it, because I've heard them refer to all professional athletes as out-of-touch do-nothings repeatedly, and I'd hate to think of Cap as a liar.
The knee thing doesn't really go above and beyond tho.Decades, but apparently Cap and others have never heard of it, because I've heard them refer to all professional athletes as out-of-touch do-nothings repeatedly, and I'd hate to think of Cap as a liar.

Oh, so these guys are in touch?
Guess that they didn't get the memo.
PS - Stop yelling
For a while there, I thought we were getting somewhere. I was wrong.
Have a nice day now, hear?
Oh, I see! Kneeling nullifies the work they do in the community.
Thanks, I hadn't gotten the logic before now.

I always stand for the anthem. I am also privileged by law (thank you very much) to render the hand salute. That's a stretch. Kneeling doesn't add or subtract from community activities.
I'm at Mosaic Stadium right now.
I'll stand twice for the anthem.
OK, do what you do. I'll do what I do.Oh no!... Little Jimmy Wilikers fell in the river and is drowning!... What should I do?
Stand back little man ~ I'll organize a go fund me page and we'll raise awareness as to Jimmy's plight
Real tough to make any headway when the primary reaction is to tag any input as conservative yelling.

We don't do that here, out of uniform without a hat on.
IOK, do what you do. I'll do what I do.
'Night.

Oh, and as to President Drunkuncle's horseshit about the kneelers disrespecting the armed forces, how the hell would he know? I don't feel disrespected, and unlike Drunkuncle, I actually served.

Nope. That's not at all what I'm saying. First off, let's look at one fun stat in particular. According to the DoJ and independently verified by a study out of the University of Pennsylvania, Black police officers are 3.3 times more likely to discharge their firearm while on scene than any other race of cop.I think you've got it exactly correct.
And this is why some police feel that it's okay to shoot and kill any black man they encounter in any way, innocent or guilty, pulled over for speeding, walking down the street, whatever. Because you seem to believe that all black men are guilty of some crime.
Interesting that you think who the shooters are is relevant to who the victims are. Unless your point is "Black people are inherently more violent than us superior whities."Nope. Except for the fact that people who don't encounter police are 100% likely not to die in a police encounter.Secondly, nothing I said in my previous post justifies the extrajudicial murder of a suspect, guilty or not. But here's another interesting stat. While your skin colour does have a direct bearing on how much interaction you'll have with the police, (no surprise given the previously mentioned crime stats) it actually has little to no bearing on whether or not you survive the encounter.
And such cops need to be off the force. With great power comes great responsibility.I have a friend who years ago accidentally ran over her husband. Despite the fact he was a real f*cking bastard to everyone, it really was an accident. When the cops arrived and saw who it was that got run over and that he was still alive although pretty f*cked up, they told my friend they'd turn their backs if she wanted to back over him and finish the job.
It's sad but sometimes cops get sick and tired of dealing with the same POS over and over because the courts do little to nothing in the way of actual punishment for their crimes.

Don't know about the violence issue but blacks statistically commit far more crime per capita so are far more likely to have interaction with police.Interesting that you think who the shooters are is relevant to who the victims are. This stat has absolutely nothing to do with skin color. !00% of Japanese people, 100% of Iranians, 100% of Argentinians....doesn't matter, same resultsExcept for the fact that people who don't encounter police are 100% likely not to die in a police encounter.

And therefore should be shot on sight, apparently.
