I knew from watching the news and looking at the attire that a lot of the "Anarchists" at the G20, were probably from Europe and themselves (ironically enough) come from lower upper class families when a last minute $1400 flight isn't considered an expense.

As Bloomberg said the other day, there's 34 murders with guns every day. The media can't give every story the coverage that the Tucson shooting got...

As to why? It wasn't the politician and nobody died, probably buried by a plane crash, Tea Party coverage, and something or other about Obama. This is apples and oranges to the media. And they did cover it:
Dean stabbed at Kansas City community college - BostonHerald.com
Student cuts college dean's throat minutes before governor's press speech | Mail Online
Man Charged in Dean's Stabbing at College Minutes Before Speech - FoxNews.com
Student slashes college dean's throat | Herald Sun

Google news results also show articles ran by Salon, and the Chicago Sun Times, though the links are now broken.

If stories aren't tracking well popularity-wise, well they get bumped.

The Casey Brezik story has been suppressed in the US until now. Fox News is now running with it.

Suppressed? Look above.

The irony. A claim about suppression of news stories in the media, and people won't even look for themselves when the source for the conspiracy is....media!

Which media are you referring to? There are two media systems in America and they are mutually hostile. There is the Left Wing Media and the Right Wing Media. As a result there are separate realities for different groups of Americans. Each side is at the other's throats. Propaganda from both sides makes it impossible to objectively determine reality here.

If there's two media systems at each others throats, then is it your contention that this news story was suppressed by both the left and right media and their associates?

I think that is preposterous.

I think Salon is generally viewed as a left leaning source, Fox News as a right leaning source, both covered the event when it happened. It just wasn't a popular news story.

Maybe I am preposterous. Sorry.

The event happened shortly before the US election. A Black American tried to murder a White American. Such things stir emotions here. It could have affected the election. Why Fox didn't pick up on it I don't know.

Oh, the white American was the governor of Missouri.

Maybe fox didn't want to appear racist at the time...but after all that happened in Arizona, with the right beeing blamed by the media???? ;-)
