As the Arctic Ocean’s spring sea-ice cover shrinks, microscopic zooplankton are declining that serious ramifications for the region’s food chain, from fish to seals to polar bears.
Polar bears,seals, zooplankton, fish and Botswanans did just fine prior to temperature plummeting 500 years ago. There is no point in being nostalgic over ice that is the product of the coldest point in modern man's history.

You just don't know your history, very well. They stopped teaching it for the most part in high school (along with Critical Thinking, apparently) and now two whole generations of internet posters are on here citing tabloid conspiracy theories as "history". No wonder lunatics like Trump have gained some traction.
