I hear that Katrina has been downgraded to a Level 2 though, that should prevent some of the expected damage

Most of the reports I've seen have been out of Mobile, not New Orleans. I think that little skinny guy from CTV is likely singing Stuck inside of Mobile, with the Mephis blues again," instead of "New Orleans is Sinking." He sure didn't look that impressed with getting disaster duty anyway.

The bits of news footage from New Orleans are showing tremendous amounts of damage-buildings down,water everywhere, and the winds are still pounding at 100 mph.This is worse than the 1965 hurricane so far.

Well I sure hope there are no deaths due to this hurricane. Hopefully not to much damage and that the population can get their lives back together soon and they can move on.
