What's your party's platform? Obviously, you don't have to give me the whole thing now, but can you tell me where you are on the political spectrum?
Just a question. How will you manage to get both the right leaning and left leaning members to cooperate?

Sounds like the "party line" would be much less of an issue; a party where people could work together for the common good, yet feel safe enough to vote their conscience.
Yeah the life of brian comment is what I was going to bring up and add. Any party.... or any government usually with "People" in it has been announted with communist, scientific socialist and or Stalinistic leanings. Also the guralla movements in the 60's 70's and 80's (as in Life of Briend) used the term often in the description of there official "party" name.
If I were to make a left leaning party or a centre left party as if there's not already a dozen of them out there. Canadian Action party was one, also for awhile the national party was verybig. I would however go with something like the "Progressive Alternative Party" or do what the Germans who left the communist party and social democratic party did, call it the "Left Party" or perhaps, the Centre party. Or maybe the Democratic party, lol.
I am starting to like the sound of this party.

They are right. Putting "people" in the name seems to bring some sort of "workers" party stigma to it.
Perhaps a word like coalition would serve you better.
"Canadian Coalition Party"
I like that one.
How would one register with your party? I might be interested.
