Is it right to interpret this to mean:
'We have so much experience in doing this that there is no way we could do such an amateurish job of it?'
Essentially, yes.
They're the type of boogymen whom we as kids are taught they work outside of most channels, abduct people from the shadows, and make deaths appear naturally occurring. They know we know they have these types of poisons and chemicals, so using them on foreign soil of an already suspicious western nation is the stupiest thing to do. They're found, go to hospital, doctors discover the above, Russia gets blamed immediately because their target also had a past with Russian affairs.... And no one is thinking, "hang on, why that target, at that time, in that location, with that method of murder so obvious?"
Why not hire some drug Addict via proxy to kill them, plead insanity, get a comfy prison cell with three square meals a day and protected by prisoners connected as well? Anything mentioned later of what he did and for who would be billed as crazy drugged up hallucinations.... Followed by getting himself shanked.
They said this was sloppy work and I agree. It's more like a set up for something else.
They, like the US and other nations, can make people disappear or face accidents. Why try and kill them like the way they were killed?
There's no logic other than to target Russia in some twisted covert sorta way. Economically? Politically? Both??
Or perhaps this is all Russia wants us to think, so they did it so obviously that people would reverse psychologicalize themselves into thinking they didn't do it....
Oh perhaps it was YOUUUU!
