They already did defend themselves and the case is closed. The injuries were investigated, those responsible were dealt with and repremanded.
I went back and looked, all I could find was a reference to the fact that the other foster children had been removed.
Do you have an article that goes into the investigation and the findings?
You right about chain of custody. Who had custody before the province stepped in. Who got the province involved, Why did the province see fit to step in?
The child wasn't taken at birth. Alot happened long before the province was called in.
To ignore the entire situation, of drugs, viloence, child bouncing from family member to family and say it had nothing to do with how and why the child ended up in a foster is ridiculous.
In the OP and the newpaper clip how many descriptions of burns were given?
It stated there was evidence of scalding in the CBC article.
The lie about the funeral home was a doozie. this guy came on here and directly lied to all of us to beg for money for a case that doesn't exist.
You don't need $5000 to petition a coroner to do another investigation. It's free.
From what I read, he's looking for funds to pay a lawyer to spear head the case. Something I would have to say is reasonable.
This guy just wants money not justice. Nothing more nothing less.
I can understand your suspicions and something tells me you may know more about this than you can say. So I'll leave that at that.
I did however glean this from the CBC article, and I find it both troubling and annoying...
"It is our responsibility as a society to ensure that our children are no longer subject to a sub-standard child welfare system,"
No, it's your job as a society to stop the necessity of a child welfare system. This is really one of my biggest complaints about my community. It doesn't matter that the issue was created within, the blame seems to only and always fall on someone else's shoulders.
On that point, you and I can see eye to eye I'm sure.
