It's a sad state of affairs when are so called leaders won't answer questions :x At this rate we won't be able to ask them questions next election because they will make it illegal

yeah, we have had a few incidents here on the coast, especially when anything the liberals deem 'controversial' pops up...there is an automatic no-show.
today i read an article talking about an individual who had made an appointment to talk to her local mla - jeff bray from the liberals - and he cancelled, said he 'refused' to speak to her, after she got down there in her wheelchair. pretty callous and absolutely uncalled for! my god, the guy is amazing to think that the ordinary joe isn't going to be a little upset at that one!
yup, these fat cats are one of a kind. i don't think i would know jeff bray if i fell over him. i live in his riding, have never even heard him on tv - nada.

yeah, i had seen close to these results earlier in the week. it looks the way it should be, a government that has to be accountable and i am sure the ndp will ride their asses a lot.
at least if this is so, we have a balanced legislature. interesting to see what the greens do, i would love to see them at least get one seat in the legis.

Well after the "alleged strike vote" fiasco, with the teachers. Really hurt the NDP bad as seen in recent climb in support for Liberals. It will unfortunatley cost them seats, as one thing people do not want to hear is teachers taking any sort of strike action. Campbells fear mongering worked well.
With the greens anywhere from 11-13% and no unity party to split vote on the right, the NDP will be lucky to win 22-25 seats. They may be even hard pressed to get 20.
You gotta admire that big bad well oiled Liberal fear machine though, sadly they have succeded.
Now we can look forward to four more years of oppression in BC, lower wages, fewer hospitals, death of the Pacific Salmon, more homelessness etc. Sad Days for BC people ahead, unless you are rich.

BC will of course remain a democratic free enterprise society afer the election so there is nothing preventing the average person from getting "rich".

The Campbell government will return because Campbell played his typical scumball politics again. So what does British Columbia voters do again ? Vote the asshole back in. To get the better grip on just how much of a jerk Campbell is , you only have to listen to the CBC news and political analysts back east to really see how classless Campbell is and how gullible we are for listening to him. Obviously right around home , we just don't get it.
Four years ago Campbell won the election with deception and an obvious dissatisfaction with the NDP . This time he'll win because the people don't quite know Carol James. Oh Gordo....what a winner !

Well I am getting ready to go vote. I always like to be there around 8 when voting starts. Then I will head off to the campaign office for some left over pizza or donuts.
I see 204,000 people already vote in advanced polling. Hopefully that high percentage carries over to today.
So everyone who is over 18 please go and vote. Vote for the party or candidate of your choice, but vote.
For those of you who do not vote. You should give it a try, it only takes minutes and is quite painless.
I know some people are sick of politics and some of the sctions of politicians, but change will not happen unless you vote. If you do not like NDP, Greens or Liberals there are many smaller parties and independants that would appreciate your support.
On a personnel note:
We are a democratic and free country and we should honour those Vetrans who fought to make sure we are a free and democratic and are able to vote, unlike some countries. So many of us had Grandfathers (even some Grandmothers) serving in the various service in various wars ( I had one grandpa in the Army and one in the Navy) and personally speaking I think it is a insult to them , if one does not vote. Just my two cents.
So in closing go vote. Vote for whoever you want for, but importantly vote.
