RE: NDP Have BIG plans in

Look, you are a spinner for the BC Liberals, insignificant. We all recognize that. You showed up out of nowhere and only post in this one area. Your posts read like talking points memos and your links are all from approved BC Liberal sources.

stating fact is not spinning anything - YOU are the SPINNER! You quote disgruntled NDPer's opinions, and have yet come up with anything other than editorials!

As I said, say what you like, but numbers speak for themselves. The majority of BCers are happy with the job that the BC Liberals have done :) , and that will show on May 17th. Campbell will be the first premier to be re-elected in BC in 20 years!

I still want to know what is the purpose of creating a program for making independence for seniors, and than turning around and undercutting and slashing the program that would make it work?? What is the reason for this? Is this to create a illusion that the liberals are actually trying to correct problems? What did this program cost the taxpayers to implement? And for what? to have it undermined by the very people who made it happen?

Home support workers have had their contracts torn up. They have taken a $2 drop an hour in wages. There hours have been cut back, so benifits do not have to be paid. Alot of home support workers are single mothers. So please do not blame this on unions. The home support workers really have no union anymore. So, what is the reason for the home support cuts? The population is aging, there will be alot of eldery people, how long do you think you hide what is going on from people??

I am asking you sig, as you are a liberal, what is the purpose of creating a progam, and than undermining it for failure.

That is YOUR opinion! I am not an expert on this field. You seem to know more about this particular problem than I do, so I ask YOU: what did the NDP do that was better (or worse) and what is their plan if THEY were to be elected? They can point out the weak points, but what is their solution?

you know, i go away from this board for a few days and it is still the same old same old. insig, we all know you are a liberal, and you are probably correct that the liberal party will be re-elected in may. but hopefully, we will have a legislature with a little more of a balance rather than the totalitarian rule we have had jammed down our throats for the past four years. that's all.

as far as the bc economy being 'blessed' by the liberals is so much hog fuel. ask any economist and they will tell you it has way more to do with low interest rates which we are seeing across canada, the fact that our resources are worth more on the world economy, and the re-entry of trades back to bc. to state that it is due to the liberals taking power is not the truth.

the fact that you support the liberals is your business. it just happens not to be mine, and some of the facts appear to be a little 'worked'.

so why is it that BC's economy was dead last in Canada during the NDP's reign, while N.America was experiencing an economic boom? Why were corporations MOVING to alberta? Why were people LEAVING the most beautiful province in Canada? Why was the NDP DESTROYED in the 2001 election? It was because BC was FED-UP with the NDP!

You need the proper frame work in place to allow the economy to boom. The NDP did not allow this to happen - ask Joy McPhail, she admitted that the NDP made mistakes in dealing with business during their term.

question - how come gordon campbell will never talk to the people, he is constantly surrounding by body guards, and has his script replayed over and over... so plastic it is pathetic! why won't any liberal candidates talk the real issues to anyone here on the island? why won't any liberal candidates talk to the bcgeu members? why won't any liberal candidates talk to the social workers of bc? why are they avoiding these issues? someone out there in fiberal land please answer these basic questions.

that is not what i am talking about insig, i am talking about the liberals stating right now that they are responsible for the 'turn around' in the bc economy. not about what happened 5 or 6 years ago.

they reduced red-tape...they decreased taxes on small business...they encouraged investment...you are right, the Liberals didn't make the economy, they took advantage of a strong global economy and have allowed it to happen in BC. That is what Im trying to say, the NDP did not take advantage of the strong economy in the 90's. They basically told businesses to GO AWAY (at least that is the translation under their tax laws, and red tape).

You need to strike when the iron is hot (so to speak).

As for him showing up to union rallys, I think that is ridiculous! Why wont Carole James show up to BC Business dinners? (other than the fact that she probably could get invited in a million years)
