BC is an even bigger mess. With next to no treaties signed, no wars fought and the Indian Act in effect, I don't understand how this mess works. It is my understanding that at the time BC entered into confederation, one of the stipulations was that they have settled land claims. BC did not so I don't know how they were even allowed to join confederation. Seems to me that BC may not even be legally a province. I really don't know much about law and this situation is very confusing.
