Muslims' anger as London Olympics clash with Ramadan

Almost everything you write about me is wrong. No I'm not Muslim and I have never claimed to be. I am agnostic. But I know more about Islam than most anti-Muslim bigots.

Ramadan isn't a holiday. Its kind of an extreme form of Lent. Its followed by a holiday called Eid ul-Fitr which is kind of like Easter/Christmas.

This isn't a religious event.

When will this minority religion recognize that that their intolerant religion is showing it's true face when they try to impose their Quran on everyone and stifle everyone elses' freedom to hold an event that is not religious.

Next they are going to look for sympathy because they can't get through security with the knapsacks hidden under the berkas. Next they will demand the security rules be changed because it is discriminatory to expect the KKK mask to be lowered, to do a gender check.
Next they will use their terrorist cells, spread throughout the UK,accroding to the latest reports, and stage riots and burn effigies of those of the Olympic commitee.

Oh, sorry, am l being insensitive???

Does the world stop for their religious holidays, what about conferences and business trips, do universities pause in teaching and stop everyone else for this Muslim Holiday?

The atheletes are given a chance to eat when traveling, l understand from a acquaintance who is a Muslim.

Anyway, l wonder if the terrorist attack and suicide bombings and threats, and riots and the political statements of burkas with the mask, like black KKK cults---are all going to stop what they are doing for a day because of a minority religion that has spread threats, murder and violence throughout the world.

after all, Mohammad went in peace, with a cell of loyal followers, then when the cells grew, they demanded that the non-Muslims convert, face extortion or leave, the other choice was to be murdered.

This is what this Muslim holiday is all about, the lessons of a Quran that contains over 161 passages of all the violent torture and scourging that non-Muslims' face...

So to honour such a violent and extreme religion by giving in to intolerant demands of a those who have yet to distance themselves from the terrorist network that has been directly linked to murder, destruction and oppression, is a big mistake.

Like Toro said, North Americans play all sorts of sports on Christmas day. What do muslim footballers do during it every year? I find it hard to believe they stop participating. Does this mean we should call off the World Series? The start of the NHL and NBA seasons? Cut the NFL down to 12 games? The PGA?

It's their choice if they want to participate or not. The world doesn't stop according to my schedule. I don't expect it to stop for others, nor should they expect the same.

Do Sikhs wear turbans when they swim, or should we cancel that part of the olympics no matter what time of the year?
